Описание: Sweet Carnlough Bay is an Irish Folk Song that has many variations. A similar Scottish song with the same melody and different words is called Road to Dundee. Some say the song was written by Alex MacKay in 1900, but like so many Irish traditional songs the tune sounds old and may be hundreds of years old or even older. The quality of the tune is highlighted by the fact that Bob Dylan used this tune for his song, Walls of the Red Wing. I've took a few liberties with the repeated tune here and changed some of the verses a little. I've also added a 12 string instrumental section that uses a few open strings to give a medieval quality. The location is Carnlough on the famous Antrim Coast Road and the very beautiful deserted village of Galboly. Thanks to Liam Kinney, Neil Irwin, Barry Dunlop and the Lost Boys ( you know who you are!) for making this a very enjoyable day.
