Our two families spent 10 days at a hunters hut at North Big Glory, Stewart Island, NZ.
We hired a dingy and took Martyn's outboard.
The kids saw Kiwi on a few different occasions and we heard at least 5 calling at night close to the hut. We saw Larry, the local hut Weka, Kaka, parrots, NZ Falcon, seals and sealions, albatross, penguins and plenty of deer sign.
The kids caught Blue Cod, free dived for Paua and Kina and we ate what they caught daily.
On the last afternoon Martyn shot a young Whitetail deer at 5m!
We saw no sign of feral cats but trapped a rat and a possum.
