Here is a quick and easy way to make some forms to build with rammed earth. I bought a 8ft 2x12 and cut it in half, then used some scraps and pieces of a desk to replicate a form I saw in a photo from Vietnam.
Rammed earth doesn't need expensive equipment. It takes a lot of time and energy. I don't know if I have enough of either of them. :)
I am just starting to work on a thinner wall, but I need to get a new tamper. The 10x10 that I bought at HomeDepot is just too big for a 6" or 8" wall.
This dirt has great clay content. These videos were taken in August 2020 and that wall is still strong and works well with the elements in April 2021.
