Following the December release of ‘Late Night Talk’, Laidback Luke, Bolier and AMRV return with a bold reimagining of the record courtesy of BLR on the remix, landing on February 6th via Smash The House! The original cut carved out a distinctive space of its own, fusing the off-kilter swagger of late-2000s fidget house with contemporary dancefloor polish. It felt purposefully askew — nostalgic without leaning on pastiche, and refreshingly unconcerned with chasing prevailing trends.
BLR’s ‘Late Night Talk (BLR Edit)’ flips that foundation on its head, announcing him as a commanding force at the start of the new year. Injecting his signature sound, the remix dives deeper and wider, steering the track into rich, melodic territory while retaining a sharp sense of forward momentum. From the outset, a synapse-snapping beat locks in like a metronome, setting a hypnotic pace that steadily draws the listener in. Progressive and melodic elements intertwine to meet at the apex of techno, gradually unfurling as the arrangement stretches and evolves.
