Steam Creature Collector Demo Stream! Pt 1

Описание: After a long hiatus (parenthood will do that to ya), we're attempting to get back to streaming! With so much of the channel focused on roguelikes and creature collector RPGs, I felt laser targeted when Steam put out the announcement for it's Creature Collector Fest! Running Until May 19, 2025, they have deals on a bunch of different creature collector games, many new and upcoming ones have some demos you can try out RIGHT NOW FOR FREE!

Here's a first look at some of the ones that piqued my interest, with links to their appropriate steam page.

First up: Synth Beasts. Players control a robot that can transform into other different creatures. These creatures all have their own unique abilities and can be swapped freely as you play. Mechanically plays a lot like Hades (Isometric view, real time action combat, etc).

Creepypasta Pokemon meets Roguelike deckbuilder. Mostly for the artwork, but also because we're all about Roguelikes and card games as well as creature collectors so this feels like it fits right in. In play, kind of reminds me of Inscryption to a point (creatures attacking those directly in front of them), but maybe more like Magic the Gathering or Pokemon TCG as far as being able to use items mid combat.

How about Pokemon where the pokemon are souls of others in the world that you have to make a connection with to "capture" them and have them fight with you? Maybe closer to Demon Negotiation from the Shin Megami Tensei series? Very creepy and horror adjacent.

Darkest Dungeon X Pokemon. I didn't play it this time as it was a demo I played previously (that I sadly didn't record), but 100% worth your time and would recommend trying it out!
