Join us as we wake up for the last time in Tuscany. We say arrivederci to the exquisite Torre Casalta and visit the Piazzale Michelangelo to take in the best view of Florence.
After spending a bit too much time taking in the view we rushed towards the airport. The white-knuckle Italian driving finally caught up to us. After a near-tragic incident involving our rental car and a tractor-trailer we made it to the airport just in time. There was much debate over whether or not we should purchase the additional rental car insurance, but we can say it was a wise investment -- at least in Italy.
After rushing through the Amerigo Vespucci airport in Florence we made it just in time for our flight to Zurich.
