This video will show you what the Irix Cine 30mm T1.5 lens looks like with different sensor sizes.
We tested with a Canon EOS R5C with a full-frame sensor, a RED KOMODO 6K with a super35 sensor, and a LUMIX GH5 with an MFT sensor.
The lenses were used without adapters. Only the lens and camera changed, the tripod remained in the same place.
Cameras: EOS R5C (Full Frame), RED Komodo 6K (S35) and Lumix GH5 (MFT)
Aperture: T5.6
Distance between camera and model: 8.2ft (2.5m)
The camera's angle of view does not depend only on the focal length. The size of the sensor is also an important factor. The smaller the sensor, the larger the crop, which results in a larger focal length multiplier. This consequently affects the camera's viewing angle.
In the Irix Cine line-up, you can find full-frame ultra-wide angle lenses like the Irix 11mm and 15mm, wide-angles 15mm, 21mm, and 30mm, a standard 45mm lens, and a 150mm tele macro 1:1 lens.
