Woman killed, three injured as tree falls during storm amid heavy rain, hailstorms in Sikkim

Описание: Severe weather conditions, including strong winds, heavy #rainfall and #hailstorms, lashed several parts of #Sikkim, causing casualties and disruptions. A 55-year-old woman, identified as Kala Devi Chettri, died after a tree fell on her during a #thunderstorm in Rakdong Kafer under the Tumin–Lingi constituency. According to #Gangtok District Police, the tree collapsed due to powerful winds and struck her on the head, resulting in her death.

In a separate incident, three people were injured after a tree fell on a passenger vehicle at Chota Singtam in #Pakyong district following heavy wind and rain. Local residents rushed the injured individuals to a nearby hospital for treatment.
