Climb on board, Zayn Malik has some juice on the moment he realized he had to leave One Direction, their current relationships and so much more.
So we all know the story - One Direction and Zayn went their separate directions, but could there be actual drama between the guys that we don’t know about? Maybe…
Zayn Malik is speaking more than some Pillowtalk in the newest interview in NME. He told the magazine, some of the details of the eventual 1D split and boy, is it juicy.
When talking about the exact moment he knew he had to leave he said: "I called my security and I was like, 'I need to sort out a plane. I want to go home.' I don't know how I knew, but I just did. So I chatted with my cousin. Listened to a few songs. Just waited for my plane to come."
Now when it comes to keeping in touch with Harry, Liam, Louie or Naill – he says for the most part they don’t talk saying "I tried to have contact but nobody's reached out. So... whatever."

However, he did talk to one of his band members… telling NME "I'm still probably the closest to Liam," Zayn explains. "We talk on the phone. He congratulated me on my single, which was nice. I congratulated him on his Brit Award [1D won the British Video Award for 'Drag Me Down']. It was a good chat. We haven't met up in a long time so we want to meet up."
So could there be some bad blood between the band? The world may never know. But the fact that Pillowtalk, Zayn’s first solo song debuted on the Billboard charts at number 1! Something that One Direction as a group were never actually able to do. The highest they ever got was Number 2 for their 2013 hit, “Best Song Ever.” I know, that’s crazy.
