Izanami is a Meme (SMT IV)

Описание: This one is for all you Persona 4 fans out there. That's right, a level 1 Flynn can literally solo Izanami in less than 5 minutes...or 2.5 minutes on Auto-Pinpoint. Am I trying to make a statement about the quality of your game? Well, let's just say that I’m leaving that to your interpretation.

Inspired by Jim Reaper's famous "Abaddon is a Meme" series.

Izanami is a New Game + exclusive boss in Blasted Tokyo that can only be fought after the alignment lock. Blasted Tokyo is only accessible in the Chaos route and in the Neutral route after defeating Lucifer, so most people have probably never seen this battle. For a level 85 New Game + exclusive boss you'd expect a big challenge, but she is easily defeated by a very simple setup, even on Master difficulty.

Izanami has fairly high stats and about 8000 HP, but that's not that important. Let's just do a rundown of Izanami's moves. She has Purple Smoke, Mamudoon, Ancient Curse, Silent Prayer, and her basic physical attack. The Nibelengun armor reflects Purple Smoke and her basic attack while blocking Mamudoon. The Hunter Crown accessory blocks Ancient Curse completely. Silent Prayer is irrelevant. That's it, the show's over. She spends all of her time handing smirks to Flynn and/or damaging herself. It's funny because normally Ancient Curse and Silent Prayer together would make for a really difficult boss even with a full team of demons, but for some reason the developers decided to only give her Purple Smoke and Mamudoon as offensive moves. Good thing they drastically overhauled her moveset for Apocalypse, where she's actually a memorable boss battle.

Interestingly, all of the equipment I'm using is encountered on the Neutral route with the exception of the Nibelengun armor. The Love Gun is found in a chest in Purgatorium, the Pumpkin Bombs ammunition is in a chest in Tsukiji Hongwanji, and the Hunter Crown is the reward for completing the mandatory Hunter Tournament Finals quest. Having fire-element gun rounds speeds this up quite a bit; in this battle, Flynn deals about 4500 damage to Izanami, while 3500 is damage from reflected physical attacks.

If you're wondering, I used an SMT IV save editor to revert Flynn's level and stats. It’s really simple to use with Citra, but I didn’t know it existed until after I had defeated Lucifer.
