BUCKET LIST Seashell: The Violet Sea Snail 👀
Years ago my Dad & I were shelling Pensacola Beach when we noticed a couple other shellers. Since it was cold and no one else was around we all started telling stories. I don't recall if they had a net or a rake, however one scoop from the Gulf produced something purple. As I stared at that little shell all I could think about was how cool it would be to find one.

Fast forward several an unexplainable event occurred. From St. George Island to Pensacola Beach, Violet Sea Snails began washing up. And we're not talking 1 or 2 if they're washing up over hundreds of miles of beach I guess you could say there were thousands. After seeing a few Panhandle posts I went out and once I started keying in on a certain part of the beach I started seeing Violet Sea Snails by the dozens.
