Acquire Pressure Data in WinDaq Using a 4-20mA Pressure Transmitter

Описание: Learn how to acquire pressure data using a 4-20mA pressure transmitter, WinDaq data acquisition software and a DATAQ Instruments model DI-2008.

Featuring a built-in 15VDC power supply, and programmable gain ranges of ±1, 2.5, 5, 10, 25, 50 V full-scale (in addition to mV-level ranges), the DI-2008 well suited for pressure measurements using a 4-20mA transmitter.

The DI-2008 powers the 4-20mA transmitter, and a 250 Ohm shunt resistor (connected across the analog input) converts the 4-20mA output to 1-5V. Choosing the ±5V measurement range in WinDaq provides optimal resolution over that 1-5V full-scale output.
