Welcome to the long-awaited "Make Your Own Montessori Inspired Play Kit" for 7-8 months episode! This week we tackle 'The Inspector' Kit from Lovevery.

Our little wonders have taken an interest in becoming mobile, seemingly overnight! At this age range, your baby will be somewhere on the spectrum of mobility, be it trying to scoot or getting ready to stand all on their own! On top of these remarkable gross motor skills, our babies are also busy refining their fine motor skills, while also learning more and more about this fascinating world around them, tackling concepts as complex as object permanence.

To feed their curious minds, Dr. Montessori had designed very intentional materials for children in this age. However, it would not be possible to include all of these materials at the price range that Lovevery offers meaning we are really seeing "Montessori INSPIRED" come into play here. I encourage you to explore what else is available for this age range, as there are many other wonderful materials that are extremely beneficial for your child. I share a few of the ones we use as well.

In this video, we will look re-create the Lovevery play kit for 7-8 months with items we can find ourselves. It is important to remember that the Play Kit quantities may differ from what we find, so I provide a per unit comparison at the end to see which is more worth it at the end (spoiler alert: the kit we create is WAY more worth it). But if you need to stick to the $70-$80 price range that the kits cost, I have an option for you as well!
