Meaning:
I meditate upon Sri Rama, the jewel and delight of the Raghu dynasty.
One who has a glowing form like the blue lotus and is the most sacred.
You destroyed the mighty demons like a blazing fire consuming a dense forest. You are adorned in garments that shine like molten gold. You are lotus-eyed, and your auspicious deeds are praised by sages such as Sanaka and the other ascetics. Your beauty rivals that of Manmatha (Cupid), and your form is flawless and pure.
O Ocean of Compassion, Your lotus feet remove the great sufferings of devotees and sanctify all who take refuge in them. You are the protector of the celestials. Your lips are red like the Kuruvinda flower. You are the Supreme Being who delights in sport with Sitha, the daughter of the Earth.
You are the crest jewel of the Solar dynasty, endowed with spotless virtues and the remover of all impurities and sins. Exceedingly charming, Your face shines like the moon, the beloved friend of the kumuda lily, and you stand resplendent in majestic splendor.
