In this CD the Eos Guitar Quartet brings together three of the biggest composers of the contemporary classical guitar: Leo Brouwer, Egberto Gismonti and Ralph Towner. The performance of "Gismontiana" (a fantasy that Leo Brouwer wrote on themes of Egberto Gismonti) is a live recording of a concert featuring the Eos Guitar Quartet together with the Musikkollegium Winterthur - one of the old orchestras in Europe, founded in 1629! - conducted by composer Leo Brouwer itself. The concert was a celebration of Leo 75 birthday and was recorded and broadcasted by Swiss Radio SRF2 Kultur. Ralph Towner dedicated "Confluence" to the Eos Guitar Quartet. This is the world premiere recording of this three movement work.
