I really wanted to catch an Alexander Dennis E40H Enviro 400 MMC on this route. There were 4 allocated to the 21 on that day, although I missed all four, especially the last one, EH193, which was supposed to depart at 14:46, but when I had arrived at Lewisham Centre at 14:43, it had already departed, and since all of them were already on their way to Newington Green, I didn't want to wait for them to come back so I got LT281 instead. However, I did manage to get a photo of EH193 once I got to Newington Green anyway, so that was good enough I guess.
Re-done series episode 58 presents London bus route 21, which is operated by London Central under Go-Ahead London from New Cross (NX) garage, allocated with New Routemaster and rarely, but commonly Alexander Dennis E40H Enviro 400 MMC buses between Lewisham Shopping Centre and Newington Green via New Cross Gate, Old Kent Road, Bricklayer's Arms, Borough, London Bridge, Monument, Bank, Moorgate, Old Street, and Moorfields Eye Hospital.
