often wonder why I am obsessed with doing this, chasing steam locomotives across our National Rail Networks. Today I got an answer. As far as I know, I have never seen 34028 Eddystone (SR 21C128 & BR 34028). In the 30+ years I was a commuter in Manchester, I rarely , if ever used Manchester’s Deansgate Station. I love it, it is true commuter station, with lots of other traffic.
Hardly a minute goes by when a train , does not pass along this double track, So when a steam engine, rarely seen in this region , and makes and unexpected stop, I was really pleased to record the situation.
So when Eddystone stopped for a 'pose' I was very pleased.
