Описание: আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবসে ভাষা শহীদদের শ্রদ্ধা জানানোর পাশাপাশি রাজধানীর বিভিন্ন স্থানে ছিলো শিশু কিশোরদের নিয়ে নানা আয়োজন। ভোরের আলো ফোটার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে প্রভাত ফেরীতে অংশ নিতে প্রতিটি স্কুলেই যেমন ছিল শিক্ষার্থীদের ভিড়। তেমনি ছবি আঁকা ও গান কবিতাসহ ছিলো সাংস্কৃতিক আয়োজন। আধুনিকতার নামে বিকৃতি রোধ ও সবখানে শুদ্ধ বাংলা চর্চার মাধ্যমেই ভাষা শহীদদের আত্মত্যাগের প্রতি সম্মান জানানো সম্ভব বলে মত শিক্ষার্থীদের।

তুলির আঁচড়ে ফুটে উঠেছে শহীদ মিনার। আলপনায় ফুটিয়ে তোলা হয়েছে ভাষা শহীদ সালাম, রফিক, বরকত জব্বারদের প্রতিচ্ছবি। ভাষা ও ভাষা শহীদদের প্রতি নিখাদ ভালোবাসাই হয়তো পথশিশুদের আঁকা ছবিগুলোকে এতোটা হৃদয়গ্রাহী করেছে।

রাজধানীর বিভিন্ন শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানে প্রভাত ফেরিতে অংশ নেন শিক্ষার্থীরা। হাতে ফুল নিয়ে খালি পায়ে নিজ নিজ স্কুলের শহীদ বেদীতে শ্রদ্ধা জানান তারা। এ সময় আধুনিকতার নামে ভাষার বিকৃতি বন্ধের দাবি জানান তরুণ শিক্ষার্থীরা।
