Edit: As one commenter noted, there is a huge difference between Joseph Smith's religious polygamist practice and a more modern approach to many forms of relationships entered into by adults with informed consent. Joseph Smith's polygamy is clearly evil and built in threatening women and their families with a loss of salvation if they do not comply. Modern open relationships take many forms and I ultimately support the rights of consenting adults to enter into relationships they choose.
