Relaxation techniques can help you manage the effects of everyday stress and cope with stress-related health problems such as chronic pain. During this exercise you will learn where you hold tension in your body and how to effectively release the tension, allowing a deep sense of relaxation.
Please do not listen while driving or during other activities where you need to be fully alert and awake.
Larry Thompson is a clinical psychologist at CVMC who is trained in behavioral medicine, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness meditation, and biofeedback. Larry also has special interests in pain management and disability prevention.
