Tens of thousands of pro-Palestine protesters have taken to the streets of every major capital city and regional towns around Australia to demand an end to the Israel-Gaza war.
Brisbane saw one of the largest rallies during what demonstrators called a nationwide Day of Action, with a drastic gap between Queensland police’s estimate of 7,000 and the organisers’ figure of 50,000.
Meanwhile, Melbourne hosted the 97th consecutive week of protests for Palestine.
Greens leader Larissa Waters said she was ‘proud’ of the massive turnout.
