DUNDU represents DU UND DU (You and You) and is the name of the up to 5-meter tall rod puppets from Stuttgart´s puppet builder Tobias Husemann. This year, the Guests at the 12th Roncalli Christmas Circus had a very special opportunity to experience the gentle giants and the small DUNDU under this year's program at the Tempodrom in Berlin live. DUNDU slips into a variety of roles: the majestic Opening with Kora sounds, which allows the spectators to escape the hectic Christmas season for this moment and brings the audience in the here and now to the clownish interaction with artists and the live orchestra as "an extended arm of the viewer " to the Highlight of the Show:

The Girl are actually two Girls: The Ulli Twins: Their father, Dominic Ulli is a Swiss artist and director. After engagements at large circus companies around the world (Circus Knie, NY Big Apple, Roncalli, people-animals Scoops, clowns clowns, etc) he moved his focus on the conception and realization of events and shows.
With his daughters, he also shows the number "Balloon Girl" along with Dundu, a magical performance, which makes true the dream of flying ...
DUNDU is the charming nonverbal thread under the dome of the Tempodrom and the ensemble is looking forward to his circus debut.
DUNDU uses the freedom of art with the idea to do something that no are not subject to any constraints and prohibitions: A light figure whose significance arises only through the interaction of people and opens a space for their own imagination and projections.
The friendly giant puppets from the creative mind Tobias Husemann attract people worldwide and in 2015 DUNDU was travlling across all over the place, but with its cross-cultural language and global message he also inspired internationally from Los Angeles to Macau and Egypt: From the Stuttgart Wagenhallen Base to the world with the philosophy of the DU UND DU.

Five puppeteers find on the figures in accordance with the DUNDUMUSIK a common breath and go with DUNDU on his expedition with childish curiosity: Each movement of the figure is a result of collective impulses in the here and now. In puppetry, the viewer loses for the moment and see often in the simple beauty of the metaphor of human life is: We are related to a body, need to coordinate and cooperate in order to make things happen and we are not alone. Individual fiber strands created the DUNDUs transparent body, intersect and form a network of open space and connection, synonymous with the creativity of the people in exchange with each other: this exchange wants the DUNDU ensemble like toast with his extended Doll Art:
