In the heart of the Thar Desert, where ground temperatures touch 71°C,
lies one of India's most forgotten borders — the India-Pakistan frontier
at Munabao, Barmer, Rajasthan.
This isn't a tourist zone. This isn't on any map you've seen. This is
where BSF jawans stand guard in conditions that would kill most people
within hours. This is where a handful of Indian families still call
home — in sand dunes that stretch all the way into Pakistan's Sindh province.
In this video, I go inside the India-Pakistan border in the Thar Desert
— exploring the abandoned Thar Express railway track that once connected
India to Karachi, the ghost villages near the zero line, and the people
who survive here when temperatures cross 71°C.
What you'll see in this video:
▸ Life at the India-Pakistan border in Thar Desert
▸ Munabao — India's last railway station before Pakistan
▸ The abandoned Thar Express route (Jodhpur to Karachi)
▸ BSF border patrol in 71°C heat
▸ Villages surviving at zero line, Barmer, Rajasthan
▸ 1965 and 1971 war history at Gadra Road
📍 Location: Munabao & Gadra Road, Barmer District, Rajasthan, India
🌡️ Ground Temperature: 71°C (hottest border in the world)
🚂 Historic Route: Thar Express — Jodhpur to Karachi (suspended 2019)
