This video shows two different methods of making flying geese blocks. This quilt block uses eight 3-1/2” x 6-1/2” flying geese. I first show the traditional way of staring with a colored rectangle then sewing from corner to corner on light squares, pressing them to the outside, then trimming off the excess (I double sew them to use the resulting 2-1/2” square in a future as of yet unplanned project).
Secondly I show cutting with the Companion ruler and the EZAngle ruler. This method has less fabric waste, so it’s a winner with me.
