President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. welcomes Ambassador Dr. Asima Rabbani of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Ambassador Faisal Ebraheem Alajrafi Alghamdi of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the new lead envoys of their respective countries to the Philippines during the formal presentation of credentials at Malacañan Palace on June 10, 2025.
Ambassador Dr. Rabbani first presents her credentials. She expresses her gratitude to the Philippines for the warm hospitality as she officially begins her diplomatic mission as Pakistan’s envoy to the Philippines.
Following her, Ambassador Alghamdi of Saudi Arabia presents his credentials. He states that he looks forward to fulfilling his duties and further strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries. He also assures that he will do his utmost to successfully carry out his responsibilities.
The Philippines established diplomatic relations with Pakistan in 1949 and with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1969.
