We made a video about how garbage and recycling works in Zurich, Switzerland. This was a bit of a culture shock when we first arrived here from the US. Switzerland recycles 51% of its household waste and ranks #6 in the world behind Germany who is #1 at 65%. The US, by contrast, only recycles 35% of its household waste. However, recycling and garbage management is a lot more complicated in Switzerland compared to the US where you throw all recyclables in the big blue bin. Do you think all the effort is worth it? Or should we do even better?
