Описание: In the first scene of Season 4 episode 2, Kenny awakens to see that Sophia has left the infirmary and is standing outside in the open to grieve her father's demise. as hearing Kenny and Sophia's chat, Marielle rushes to the pastor's bed to verify whether the girl's accusation is true as Kenny drags her back into the infirmary.
Well, she is right, because she is the one who killed the pastor, but this raises the question: What kind of superpowers does Sophia or the Yellow Suit Man have? We know about his ability to shape-shift, and now he can just touch someone’s chest and end them? That’s pretty dangerous.
Boyd is seen waiting outside Elgin's room. As soon as Elgin leaves to go somewhere, Boyd stops him and encourages him to return inside so they can talk about their "little secret." Boyd essentially asserts that Elgin is unable to provide all of the specifics of what has transpired in and around Fatima. Because the Township's citizens will lose what little sanity they still have if they find out that one of the creatures who died and was cremated came back to life as Fatima's kid. Hopefully, the residents will accept that version of events because they have a lot on their minds. When Elgin asks what would happen if he decided to tell the truth, Boyd responds that he would immediately place the blame for Tillie's death on him and then isolate him.
Boyd saw a bloodied bag hanging on the pole with the "motel" sign on it after leaving the Colony House. The fact that blood is pouring from it indicates that the kill is still fresh. When Tabitha sees it, she assumes the worst and believes that the bag contains Jim's body. Julie is instructed by Tabitha to take Ethan as far away from the town square as she can, only coming back when called upon. In light of this, Boyd and Jade remove the bag from the pole and let Tabitha open it, revealing that it is filled with goat heads.
At that moment, they hear Julie yelling at the top of her lungs in front of the barn, where the creatures have hollowed out Jim's insides and hanged him up. They have also inscribed on the walls that knowledge comes at a price. This led me to question whether the creatures have evolved to the point where they can predict the behaviour of the locals. Since Jim is the only missing person, everyone would assume that his hacked-up body would be in the bag in the middle of town, forcing them to send the children away. When the children discover the actual body, they will be traumatised for the rest of their lives (or as long as this loop or cycle runs). They are aware that the villagers will have some hope that Jim is still alive because of the bag full of goat heads, but that optimism will be dashed as soon as his body is discovered.
After suffering a breakdown, Ethan accuses Tabitha of killing Jim. Boyd and Jade take on the chore of removing Jim's body from the barn while Tabitha and Ethan argue and Julie tries to calm Ethan down. Before Tabitha, Ethan, and Julie bid each other farewell, they take Jim to the church with Ellis's assistance so that he can be cleansed. When Boyd questions what it means that "knowledge comes at a cost," Jade takes him to his "chambers," where he has recorded all of his theories regarding the Township.
Meanwhile, Sara informs Kenny of Jim's passing just before he takes Sophia on her trip. He leaves Sophia in Sara's capable hands and heads to meet Boyd to talk about what has happened. Sara tries to talk to Acosta when they run into her in the diner while travelling. But because Acosta is aware of what Sara did to Elgin, she advises her to keep her distance. Sara respects Acosta's position because she understands that she went too far in trying to seek answers from Elgin.
Returning to Boyd and Jade, the latter expresses his theory that they are all trapped in some sort of reincarnation timeloop, in which a certain story takes place in each cycle of the loop and, although the characters are essentially unchanged, their faces undergo reincarnation. Jim was eliminated because Jade, Tabitha, and Jim discovered who they were in this story; thus, the lesson is that knowledge has a price. Surprisingly, Boyd concurs with Jade's assertion because Nathan, Sara's late brother, believed that searching for answers in this township would always have disastrous results. However, Boyd believes that they shouldn't give up on finding answers just because the Township's architects don't want them to. He feels that he should continue following this thread until he arrives at its natural conclusion if Jade has discovered such a crucial component of the loop or cycle.
