Rising from the sands of the Erlik Desert, the ruined city of Darmur stands as a monument to forbidden magic, necromancy, and the legacy of Lord Timeless. Built around the infamous Black Tower of Rundera, this city once served as a haven for necromancers, assassins, dark cultists, and those who willingly embraced the shadowed path.
In Darmur’s cursed bazaars, bone-bound dinosaur mounts, lethal poisons, undead servants, slaves, and powerful dark artifacts were traded openly. Time magic, bone sorcery, and ritual sacrifices shaped the city’s terrifying reputation. Even the ancient black dragon Albrand once dwelled here, awaiting the coming of the Great War.
When the catastrophic explosion in the elven homeland of Iyverin shook the world, Rundera was damaged—and when Lord Timeless and his apostles never returned, Darmur descended into chaos. Barbarian tribes looted the city, and those who dared to plunder the Black Tower were struck by devastating curses that erased entire bloodlines.
Today, Darmur lies in ruin, yet the Black Tower still looms over the desert, as if waiting for its master’s return.
This video explores the dark history, forbidden magic, factions, and adventure hooks of Darmur—perfect inspiration for Dungeons & Dragons, dark fantasy worlds, and grim campaign settings.
