Château de Versailles - Latona Fountain

Описание: It's been a pleasure to work on the Latona Fountain augmented reality experience for Château de Versailles and Meta.

The scene is inspired by Jean Cotelle's 18th-century illustrations of the gardens of Versailles, while the AR experience portrays the goddess Latona casting a curse on the peasants that prohibited her from drinking out of a pond, due to which they were transformed into frogs.

For this unique project, we traveled to Paris in order to test the Beta only geo-location feature of Spark AR and calibrate the experience on-site in order for it to properly frame the Latona fountain, one of the main attractions of the Palace's gardens.

Every 3D model in the scene has been created and textured by us from scratch, referencing the original sculptures safeguarded in the palace's depot.
