In this episode we traveled through multiple states staying for the first time at some Love’s Travel Stations, Harvest Hosts, other camp grounds. We took a quick detour up to Kentucky to go to Buffalo Trace Distillery for my friend Danny and we are glad he mentioned it, it was a beautiful trip but also saved us from getting hit by hurricane Helene. Thanks for unknowingly saving us Danny.
We send our prayers for those who have been affected by the Hurricanes!
Natchitoches is a city in Louisiana. The National Historic Landmark District includes French Creole townhouses. The meandering Cane River runs south to plantations within the Cane River Creole National Historical Park. These include the 18th-century Oakland Plantation. First founded as a trading post in 1714 by French settlers, Natchitoches is Louisiana's oldest permanent settlement—even older than New Orleans
Grand Ecore RV Park is located next to Grand Ecore Recreation area, on Bayou Pierre in Natchitoches, LA. Ecore is French for "bluff," which is what the beautiful location is known for. Near the RV park is their large 80-foot high bluff that towers over the Red River.
Sweetwater, TN is a city in Monroe and McMinn counties in the U.S. state of Tennessee, and the most populous city in Monroe County. Sweetwater is the home of the Craighead Caverns which contains the Lost Sea, the United States' largest underground lake.
While in Sweetwater ,TN we stayed at a Harvest Host-Bradley's Pit BBQ & Grill and The Sweet Side (next door), the food was delicious and so was the ice cream. This harvest host had electric and water hook ups.
Greeneville, TN is a town in and the county seat of Greene County, Tennessee, United States. The town was named in honor of Revolutionary War hero Nathanael Greene, and it is the second oldest town in Tennessee.
While in Greeneville we stayed at this beautiful RV resort. White Sands RV Resort is brand new and privately owned. The couple that owns the resort are amazing and we cannot wait to go back and stay with them.
