With the back end of storm Gareth hitting us hard, I’d heard the river had burst its banks and I had to go and see if my camp was ok.
Me and my girls wrapped up and put on our wellies.
The burst river bank had put entire island under about 3 foot of water. A total washout.
I could only get to the main path and would have needed a canoe to get there.
Luckily the water wasn’t flowing through camp and was only standing so hopefully camp is still in one piece.
I’ll go down again in the next few days to check on the damage.
Not something I’m looking forward to.
