The entire process from start to finish is relatively easy. The most important thing to remember when exporting your book from Reedsy is to change the ISBN number on the Copyright page for both the paperback and hardcover versions. These numbers are different, and if you don't have the right ISBN when uploading your book to KDP, it will go back into Draft mode until you change the number.

So, essentially, you'll have three separate downloads for all three versions of your book.

Also, keep in mind that if you use the free ISBN from KDP, you cannot use that exported version in any other print service, including Barnes & Noble. The free ISBNs are exclusive to Amazon.

Although Reedsy doesn't have a lot of formatting options available, it still works well, especially for beginners. In the very near future, I'll show you how to export the book from Reedsy, import it into Atticus, and change the formatting before publishing the manuscript on KDP.
