Описание: Employees of a company contracted by the City of Ekurhuleni protested in front of the metro's Brakpan customer care centre due to the late payment of their December salaries by their employer. They started protesting on Monday, January 7, and continued until Wednesday, January 9. By Thursday, a solution was found and the salaries were paid over two days. The employer cites financial difficulty as the reason for the late payments, and says he'll be working on a failsafe so that this doesn't occur again. Meanwhile, employees claim it is a frequent issue, among other problems.
