An Uber rider is warning customers to check their receipts after she was charged an unexpected cleaning fee.
The Vancouver resident, who reached out to Uber repeatedly to dispute the charge, says the ride-hailing company stood firm on its original position.
“Pretty turned off. Especially when there are so many options out there, I don't have to go with a company that's not going to help their customers when they have disputes," Karen Plangg said on her feelings.
When Consumer Matters reporter Anne Drewa reached out to Uber, the company refused to answer any questions around Plangg's case, but she received a full refund from Uber within hours of us reaching out.
