Canon C70 Review: Is It Truly A Powerhouse Camera?

For me, the Canon C70 being a powerhouse camera comes down to two factors:
• The DGO sensor: a very clean image and high dynamic range.
• Internal RAW recording (12-bit)

Oh, and the Canon C70's form factor. It's small enough to fit most gimbals and rigs, and go just about anywhere.

Sure, it's an investment at $5,500 retail or $4,600 used. You can buy two BMPCC 6K Pro cameras for the price of one Canon C70. I get it.

But the C70 brings more to the table, in my opinion. Having fast auto focus when you need it, 4 more stops of ND (up to 10 total), better battery management, and more codecs to choose from.

I think the C70 is one of the best cameras that Canon has released because of the entire build, the unique hybrid feel, and the power of that DGO sensor mixed with internal RAW recording.
