This Island of Zvërnec in Albania, has a complete and serviced Monastery ( Manastiri ) dating as far back as the 1300's, with the current building built atop the old site, being from the 1400's. This was a very small rock/brick building used for worship and getting closer to God. The Monks would also perform daily duties such as daily chores and up keep of the land and site.
In this tour of the site video, you will get to experience the uniqueness of an Albanian Monastery site, with Greek and Roman influences throughout the design. The site is free of charge, with only a jar for suggested donations.
