This case study will discuss observations of how the PCM responds to an installation of a CAI. Of course, not all cars respond the same way. I propose a hypothesis as to how CAI could improve performance and how they can also decrease performance. I list some examples of where CAI improve HP. I also discuss an example of where the installation of a CAI decreased horsepower.
This video is not intended to prove if CAIs are worth installing. The goal of the video is to warn you that working on a car with modifications could cause certain PIDs to be misleading.
To determine if a CAI is going to work for your car, I suggest researching actually dyno results from neutral parties.
