Sharp Edge - Blencathra - Scales Fell hike | Lake District Walks

Описание: In this video, we go on one of the circular Wainwright walks found close to Keswick - Blencathra! (Also known as the saddleback) Our ascent is via the white knuckle Sharp Edge as we scramble up, over and on some occasions back down the ridge. This route up Blencathra also takes in the stunning Scales Tarn which we found to be a perfect stopping point for our elevensies. After a brief lunch stop at the top of Blencathra, we descend back via Scales Fell. The Lake District Wainwright Walk was surprisingly not too busy, despite it being a bank holiday Monday - but perhaps the low cloud had something to do with it? We've already got another trip booked to the Lake District National Park and really do love a good challenge when hiking, so if you can recommend any Lake District Scrambles or Lake District hikes, or just general fell walking that's kinda epic for our next trip, we're all ears!
