Personal Artist Note:
I’m very excited to share my first-ever music video for a song that means so much to me.

Some of you already know my story. For those who don’t: I grew up with in a Korean-American working class immigrant family, and worked really hard to get accepted to Yale. Then I become an investment banker on Wall Street so I could take care of my parents, who had sacrificed everything to help me and my sister live the best lives they could afford us.

But as time went by, I became increasingly depressed. One day I couldn’t take it anymore, and I left early from work to wander aimlessly through downtown Manhattan until I found myself in front of Tisch School of the Arts. I walked in and applied for the Musical Theater Writing program, thinking nothing of it, and before I knew it, I received a full scholarship and an acceptance letter.

I began my musical journey as a musical theater composer, and eventually discovered my passion to live out my dream as a Music Artist.

I started my whole life over. And I can now proudly say it was the best decision of my life.

I wrote "Do What You Want" to remind myself that I should follow my gut and my heart. I hope it inspires others to do the same and tune in with their True North.
