Fast paced overview of the way I winterize my boat. While not ALL of these steps are critical, I think its good practice to knock out the maintenance before storing. That way when you pull it out in the springtime it's ready to go. The step that CANNOT BE SKIPPED is to get the engine filled up with RV antifreeze and fog the cylinders through the carburetor. The rest is optional but recommended.

My process in a nutshell:
1. Add stabilizer to the fuel and top off tank.
2. Replace fuel filter.
3. Run engine on the hose while in gear to cycle the fuel stabilizer into system and get all the fluids up to operating temperature.
4. Once up to temp, change oil/filter
5. Drain both manifolds/block and prefill engine with 1 gallon of RV anti freeze.
6. Start back up and run 3 gallons of RV antifreeze through the engine. When jug is almost empty, spray fogging oil into the carburetor until engine stalls.
7. Change stern drive oil/ make sure there's no water intrusion and grease the zerk fittings
8. Spray rust inhibitor on bare metal surfaces and service trailer.

Notes:
*It's best if you store it with the stern drive in the lowered position so the rubber bellow is not in the "stretched" state. (though I've store it both up and down and have never had an issue either way) `
