Every now and then I run into an uncleared Expert level that’s so painful it ends up taking over my entire recording session — and today is one of those days.
This level takes several ideas originally designed for Super Mario Maker 1 and brings them into Super Mario Maker 2… and the results are, honestly, pretty brutal. Some of these mechanics just don’t translate well, and there were moments where it really felt like certain ideas should have stayed back in MM1.
To be fair, there are parts of this level that I genuinely liked. That said, I was running on very little sleep, my patience was wearing thin, and the middle section really put me to the test. What followed was a lot of struggle, frustration, and suffering — which I hope makes for a pretty entertaining video!
