Check your Node version: node -v (must be 22.x or 24.x, NOT 21 or 23)
Install OmniRoute: npm install -g omniroute
Start the server: omniroute
Chat in the terminal: omniroute chat
Run the built-in checker: omniroute doctor

Dashboard password on first login: CHANGEME
VS Code setup: Base URL = your Endpoints page, API key = your API Keys page, Model = auto

"omniroute is not recognized" → close Command Prompt and open a fresh window
Model not responding / 429 error → a provider ran out, set up a Combo (14:00)
Crashes on startup → run node -v, it must be 22 or 24
