Would YOU Cut This Satchel Paige Autograph? Help Me Decide ✂️🤔

I recently picked up an autographed postcard from Satchel Paige and it comes with some really cool provenance. It was originally obtained through the mail in the early 1970s by a kid who was writing to players for autographs. Pieces like this are a snapshot of hobby history and a reminder of how collectors used to connect with legends of the game.

But here’s the dilemma…

I bought this autograph with the intention of using it as a cut signature for a custom card in my Ted Williams Card Company set that I’ve been creating. This Paige autograph would make an incredible card and a centerpiece in the set.

The problem is… the postcard itself is pretty cool as it is.

So now I’m torn.

Do I preserve this piece of TTM collecting history, or do I transform it into a custom card honoring one of baseball’s greatest pitchers?
