Family Resource Centers Strengthen Community Systems and Help Families Thrive in South Carolina

At the family resource center, families can find localized help such as parenting classes, job training, mental health, family counseling, child care, job training and more. Participating families generally receive these programs and activities at no cost or low cost.

Designed to address the specific needs of each community, family resource centers help reduce the burden on state and federal social services by providing families with the resources they need in their local communities. Children’s Trust of South Carolina supports local family resource centers by offering guidance, training and technical assistance through the S.C. Family Support Network.

With increased support, funding and donations, more communities across South Carolina can establish family resource centers and provide essential support to families.
