Edi Beo Thu is a carol in praise of Mary and is the earliest known carol in the English language. It comes from a manuscript c1290 from the library of Llanthony Segunda Priory, Gloucester.
The words are taken from the bible telling the story of the Annunciation and translated into middle English.
