Gold Finch (Prismatic)
Occasionally applies the Gold Sparkle mutation to nearby fruit. The chance floats around 5–15%. It’s cool, but very RNG-dependent and not something you can build around consistently.

Black Bird Pet
Basically an upgraded ostrich. Pets hatched from eggs get an age bonus, allowing up to Age 15 instead of 10. If you already use ostriches, this is a straight upgrade. If you don’t… it’s not changing your life.

Birb (Prismatic)
Speeds up egg hatch times. Every 5 minutes, all eggs advance by 150 seconds, with a chance to multiply that. Sounds decent until you compare it to large eagles + large mimics, which already destroy this value-wise. Compared to current metas? This one’s an L.

Cuckoo Luck Bird
Grants triple seeds on lucky harvests… capped at 12%. Which immediately raises the question: what’s the point? It’s basically a slightly buffed seagull with a hard ceiling.

And yes… there’s a Mega Mega bird that looks ridiculous. I hate it. I want it. That’s the only honest take.

The event itself (Bonanza Bloom changes)

Bonanza Bloom appears to be cycling out, replaced with a bird-feeding event:

There’s a central nest

Birds fly around it

You feed the birds

Small chance they drop eggs

UI shows feeding progress (0/10, etc.)

There is a rainbow bird involved, and a new NPC giving dialogue, but mechanically? It’s very light. Feed → RNG → egg. That’s it.

No new depth. No big twist.

Why players are frustrated (and it’s not just the birds)

Here’s the part people don’t want to say out loud:

The content itself isn’t the biggest issue.
The silence is.

When players feel like:

Core devs have left

Team size has shrunk

Updates are being held together with duct tape

…they don’t need another pet. They need reassurance.

If the team is struggling, that’s human. Games go through rough patches. But not acknowledging it makes everything feel worse than it is.

This update feels like something built under pressure, not passion.
