Grey Glacier is one of the largest glaciers in the Patagonia region. It sits in the western area of Torres del Paine National Park.
The climax of the trip from Camp Los Perros to Refugio Grey is to see the vast glacier as far as the eye can see.
Sadly, however, the glacier is melting at an increasing rate each year, and the leading edge of the glacier is receding at a rate of several tens of meters per year.
This video was taken near the tip of the glacier. You can see the broken glacier slowly flowing as it floats on the water.
