We bade goodbye to the passing year with our cover of St Francis Church, Kochi, Kerala where the mortal remains of Vasco da Gama, the famous Portuguese traveller accredited with "discovering India" were first laid to rest before being shipped back to Portugal. Here are a few gravestones from the church to bring back to light many who lie forgotten on foreign soil!
