On October 10th and 11th, 2018, on a rather rainy and chilly weekend, I ventured out to Southwestern Colorado to film one of the most famous tourist railroads in the world, the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. From May to October, the railroad operates steam powered excursions from Durango, 45.2 miles north, to Silverton, and back, daily. The railroad also operates steam excursions in the winter with trains from Durango to Cascade Canyon. This trip was truly one of my favorites. The ride was just filled with scenery and the chasing was filled with a lot of excitement. I highly recommend taking the time out of your life to visit this amazing railroad yourselves!
