Norway couldn't even get arrested at Eurovision in the 1970's, but they won the Grand Prize International at Japan's World Popular Song festival on their first try! They have singer Ellen Nikolaysen and her impassioned performance of the dramatic "You made me feel I could fly" to thank for their success. Ellen won a "Most Outstanding Performance" award in addition to the Grand Prize.
"You made me feel I could fly" was released as a single in Japan, as well as the B-side to "Touch my life (With summer)" (her Eurovision tune from the following year) in Europe.
